Our comprehensive obstetrics program provides complete care from conception through postpartum, supporting you and your baby throughout your pregnancy journey. We offer routine prenatal care including regular checkups, ultrasounds, genetic counseling, and specialized management for high-risk pregnancies.
Our experienced team provides compassionate labor and delivery services with various pain management options and immediate access to surgical facilities when needed. After delivery, we continue supporting you with postpartum care and expert breastfeeding guidance from certified lactation consultants.
Throughout every stage, we build strong relationships that help you feel confident and prepared for parenthood.
OBSTETRICS
Our comprehensive gynecology services focus on maintaining your reproductive health throughout all stages of life. We provide annual well-woman exams with Pap smears, contraceptive counseling, and family planning services tailored to your individual needs.
We specialize in diagnosing and treating menstrual disorders, managing menopause symptoms with hormone therapy when appropriate, and addressing gynecological conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS, and fibroids. Our confidential sexual health services include STI testing and treatment, while our fertility evaluation services help couples experiencing difficulty conceiving.

GYNECOLOGY
We offer a full range of surgical services using the latest minimally invasive techniques to ensure optimal outcomes with faster recovery times. Our laparoscopic procedures result in less pain and minimal scarring for conditions such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and diagnostic needs.
We perform hysterectomies using various approaches including vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted techniques, as well as cesarean sections when medically necessary. Additional procedures include D&C operations, colposcopy with cervical treatments for abnormal Pap results, and tubal ligation for permanent contraception.
Our experienced surgical team prioritizes patient safety and comfort while utilizing advanced techniques that minimize surgical impact and promote healing.
SURGICAL SERVICES
We provide specialized care tailored to the unique needs of different life stages and specific health concerns. Our adolescent gynecology services offer age-appropriate, compassionate care for young women addressing menstrual irregularities and sexual health education in a comfortable environment.
For older women, our geriatric gynecology services manage post-menopausal concerns including bleeding, pelvic organ prolapse, and urinary incontinence. We diagnose and treat pelvic floor disorders with both conservative management and surgical options when necessary.
Our comprehensive women's health approach also includes breast health screening, osteoporosis prevention, and coordination with specialists when advanced care is needed.
SPECIALIZED CARE
We offer convenient in-office procedures and specialized services to provide comprehensive care in a comfortable setting. Our in-office capabilities include endometrial biopsies, cervical procedures, IUD insertions and removals, and minor surgical treatments that eliminate the need for hospital visits.
We provide aesthetic gynecology services for functional and cosmetic concerns, along with personalized weight management counseling that addresses the unique challenges women face throughout different life stages. For expecting mothers, our nutritional counseling services offer guidance on healthy eating, appropriate weight gain, and managing pregnancy-related dietary challenges.

Dr. Shrum was born and raised in Boise Idaho she attended Bishop Kelly high school and then went on to college at the University of Portland where she was fortunate enough to participate in a study abroad program in Salzburg Austria this was a formative experience for her developing lifelong friendships and a love of travel.
After college, she moved to the Midwest to attend Creighton university for medical school and did her residency at the medical college of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. After completion of residency, she was excited to move back to Boise and the beauty of the state of Idaho.
Outside of work she enjoys anything in the outdoors, including hiking Fly Fishing and live music and cherishes spending time with family and friends.
